Posted on: August 16th, 2021

Dean-Anthony Tedesco has been a Technical Services Engineer with Tango Technology for over three years. He works within the team as a Level 2 Engineer. Find out more about Dean-Anthony below.

What does a typical day look like for you?

First I’ll catch up on emails, messages and ticket updates (i.e. from vendors) from the past evening.  From there, my attention is devoted to whatever issue or request is most urgent and progressing through my assigned workload of issues and requests. Mentoring juniors, answering calls and assisting the team with other requests/information fills up the rest of the gaps. Tasks vary from desktop support to voice systems support to investigating incidents, monitoring alerts and setting up new functionality for clients.

What are three words you’d use to describe Tango Technology?

Fast-paced, varied and vibrant.

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?

Closing out long running issues/requests and finally finding the cause!

What would people never guess you do in your role?

Logging on really late/really early after receiving an alert to investigate the number of calls on our phone systems – to ensure none of our phone systems have been breached. (We take IT Security seriously!)

How does your department collaborate with others in the business?

Helpdesk works well with our Sales team to ensure any expiring services are dealt with ASAP as well as ensuring urgent requests for new equipment are sourced and meet client expectations.

What has been your favourite project to work on at Tango Technology?

Building a phone system all on my own was a blast.

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Chicken Schnitzel Rolls

What has been the most important innovation in your lifetime?

Smart phones and cellular network protocols, i.e. 4G (Air fryers are a close second)

What music do you listen to?

Electronic Dance Music (and its very many sub genres)
